Each service at New Covenant Fellowship, though it has certain common elements, tends to be somewhat unique. This is because we make every effort to be sensitive to the leadership of the Holy Spirit to guide us in how the various elements of the service fit together. It is our desire to experience the manifest presence of the Lord every time we gather. Worship, which includes more than just music, is the central theme to our congregation.

What To Expect on Sunday Morning

How to Enter the Church
We have two entrances, one in the front of the building and one in the back. If you park in the front of the building (see the picture above), enter into a small foyer, walk down the hall, through a few sets of doors, and finally into the sanctuary. As you are walking down the hall you will pass some of our offices, classrooms, and nursery.

If you decide to park and enter through the back entrance, you will enter through a small backdoor but you enter right into the sanctuary.

The Sanctuary
Our sanctuary is set up in-the-round. Once seated, you will be looking at fellow Christian believers, not a stage set-up. We do this because we are a church family, first and foremost, and we are committed to our relationships with each other. There is a stage on one side of the room where the musicians typically play during the musical time of praise and worship. Our pastor/elders generally present their sermons from the center of the room and from the floor rather than from the stage or at a podium.

Our Service
Each time our fellowship meets we have a time of musical praise and worship which generally lasts anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes. Each week we include a time of prayer and we participate in Holy Communion which is the spiritual high point and most intimate part of our worship. We also receive teaching from God’s Word and place great value in the message being based on Scripture. Don’t be surprised to hear members of the church family ask questions or ask to share stories during the message time. This is encouraged!

In many services we will experience impromptu times of sharing and see the Holy Spirit release His gifts in ministry and other times we will follow what seems to be a “normal” order of service. Before, after, and during our services we consistently experience sweet fellowship with our family in the Lord and we desire to share this love with all who choose to join us.

ImagePraise & Worship — We invite all who would, to sing, dance, raise hands to the Lord, or wave a flag with us. Please also expect an occasional prophetic word (a message from the Lord) to be spoken out in the congregation. You also may hear someone praying a personal prayer in tongues. Please see one of our pastors at the end of the service if you have any questions.

Ministry time - We offer a time for you to receive prayer at the end of our services. This will usually be announced, but if not, one of the pastors is always available to pray for you, answer questions, or just talk (or you can ask the person next to you as well).

To our visitors and guests – We welcome all visitors! Please fill out the visitor information portion of the bulletin and put it in the offering basket or give it to one of the ushers.

Children’s Ministry
Nursery (birth to “speaking in full sentences”) is provided. Exit the sanctuary (use the exit closest to the maps located on the far back wall), and the nursery room is the first door on the right past the secretarial desk.

Jr. Church (“speaking in full sentences” - kindergarten) begins at 10am. Children should be escorted to the Jr. Church. Exit the sanctuary (use the exit closest to the maps located on the far back wall), and the Jr. Church room is the last door on the left past the secretarial desk.

Children’s Church (1st--6th grade) children may leave the main sanctuary at 10:00. They meet in room 200 (upstairs). There are not overhead reminders during the service, but keep your eyes open to see other children leaving the room for a queue! **Until mid-October, our Children’s Church is being re-designed. Stay tuned for more details on our new program!

RIOT Faith Foundations class is for 7th graders to high school. The class is on a 3-year rotation covering the faith foundations such as Life of Christ, 10 Commandments, Holy Spirit and Gifts, Personal Quiet Times, Revelations, and more.
